A 59-year-old Brooklyn woman was allegedly raped by a neighbor who smashed down her apartment door and viciously pummeled and choked her in a violent attack Friday night, police and sources said.<\/p>\n
The brute busted into the Bensonhurst home on 15th Avenue and 71st Street around 8:30 p.m., entered the woman\u2019s bedroom and demanded sex before unleashing multiple blows and throttling her as he carried out the ruthless sexual assault, law enforcement sources said.<\/p>\n
The horrified victim reported the terror at 11:15 p.m., telling responding officers she had been sexually assaulted by someone she knew, cops said.<\/p>\n

She was rushed to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition, police and sources said.<\/p>\n
Police said a person of interest has been taken into custody \u2014 but no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
Sources said a 38-year-old neighbor who lives in the building is being questioned by police.<\/p>\n

Police swarmed the scene on Saturday, with photos showing NYPD crime scene investigators, detectives, and the Special Victims Squad leaving the home carrying multiple evidence bags.<\/p>\n
