{"id":785828,"date":"2026-05-10T05:01:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T05:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/785828\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T05:01:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T05:01:14","slug":"rock-fisherman-dies-after-being-swept-into-water-north-of-sydney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/785828\/","title":{"rendered":"Rock fisherman dies after being swept into water north of Sydney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The man&#8217;s body was recovered from the water by the \ufeffWestpac helicopter.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services had been called to Frazer Park, south of Newcastle on the NSW Central Coast at 1.20pm on Saturday following reports the rock fisherman was swept into the water.<\/p>\n<p>Tuggerah Lakes Police District, Marine Area Command, Surf Life Saving NSW and NSW Ambulance paramedics were all called.<\/p>\n<p>The man was with two others and one jumped in and tried to save him.<\/p>\n<p>He was rescued by a passing boat.\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The man&#8217;s body was recovered from the water by the \ufeffWestpac helicopter.
