PHILADELPHIA, PA \u2014 Bonduelle Americas said it is establishing a digital-focused Growth Hub in Philadelphia as part of an expansion strategy aimed at growing its U.S. plant-based food business and increasing hiring in the region.<\/p>\n
The company announced Friday that Phase 1 operations have opened at 2400 Market Street and said a permanent second-phase location is targeted for 2028.<\/p>\n
Bonduelle Americas said it expects the project to create more than 100 local jobs over time.<\/p>\n
The company said the Philadelphia hub is intended to support growth across retail and digital sales channels as consumer demand evolves.<\/p>\n
Chief Executive Officer Bobby Chacko said the company selected Philadelphia because of its food industry infrastructure, workforce, and location.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to win within the U.S. with innovative, chef-crafted healthy choices, meal solutions and fresh services,\u201d Chacko said.<\/p>\n
The project received support from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia as part of broader economic development initiatives, according to the company.<\/p>\n
Josh Shapiro said Pennsylvania is focused on workforce development and business investment to attract employers and expand job creation.<\/p>\n
Cherelle Parker said the investment reflects corporate confidence in Philadelphia\u2019s business climate and workforce.<\/p>\n
Chellie Cameron, president and chief executive officer of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, said the project demonstrates regional collaboration aimed at attracting businesses to the area.<\/p>\n
Bonduelle Americas operates facilities in California, New Jersey, and Georgia and is the U.S. subsidiary of Groupe Bonduelle, a publicly traded food company focused on plant-based products.<\/p>\n
