{"id":786637,"date":"2026-05-10T13:45:38","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T13:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/786637\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T13:45:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T13:45:38","slug":"tcu-baseball-clinches-final-home-series-behind-lance-davis-complete-game-performance-tcu-360","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/786637\/","title":{"rendered":"TCU Baseball clinches final home series behind Lance Davis\u2019 complete game performance \u2013 TCU 360"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TCU Horned Frogs baseball clinched their final home series of the season against the Utah Utes baseball on Saturday, May 9, with a 3-1 victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pitcher Lance Davis delivered a phenomenal complete-game performance, allowing just six hits and one run across nine innings while recording four strikeouts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Utes scored their only run of the game in the top of the fourth inning on a solo home run, but were shut down for the remainder of the outing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Horned Frogs responded\u00a0immediately\u00a0in the bottom half of the inning when right fielder Sawyer Strosnider launched a 426-foot home run to tie the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the fifth inning, second baseman Cole Cramer gave the Frogs the lead with an RBI single that brought home Jack Bell.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>TCU added an insurance run in the sixth when first baseman Rob Liddington drove in Chase Brunson with an RBI single to left field.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Liddington\u2019s RBI proved to be the final run of the game as both teams were held scoreless over the final three innings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With the win, the Horned Frogs secured the series victory and will look to complete the sweep tomorrow, May 10, at 1 p.m.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"slides\">\n<li class=\"storyslide inlinestoryslide\" style=\"\">\n<p class=\"photocaptioninline\">TCU Baseball right fielder Sawyer Strosnider celebrates his home run against the Utah Utes on May 9, 2026 at Lupton Stadium.
