{"id":787007,"date":"2026-05-10T17:44:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T17:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/787007\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T17:44:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T17:44:17","slug":"san-diego-county-lightly-shaken-by-series-of-earthquakes-near-brawley-san-diego-union-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/787007\/","title":{"rendered":"San Diego County lightly shaken by series of earthquakes near Brawley \u2013 San Diego Union-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Diego County was lightly shaken late Saturday and early Sunday by a series of small, connected earthquakes that originated in the Brawley area of Imperial County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.<\/p>\n<p>The strongest shaking was produced by a 4.7 temblor that occurred at 12:10 a.m. Sunday on a highly active fault that extends from the southern end of the San Andreas system to Brawley, a desert community 127 miles east of San Diego.<\/p>\n<p>USGS data indicates that most of the shaking happened in the Cleveland National Forest and near the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego County.
