The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred\u00a0Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

On Sunday May 10th, 2026 at approximately\u00a05:45a.m., East division officers were called to the 4500 block of Miller Avenue in reference to a shooting.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived on scene along with the Fort Worth Fire Department to provide medical aid.<\/p>\n

Preliminary information gathered is that a security guard working after hours went across the street to a local business and began talking to an individual. A confrontation ensued. One suspect shot the security guard who sustained a fatal injury and was pronounced deceased on scene. <\/p>\n

The suspect also shot a second adult female who sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

The suspect(s) fled the scene.<\/p>\n

Per normal protocol, homicide detectives were notified and made the scene.<\/p>\n

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office will determine the manner, cause of death, and identity of the deceased.<\/p>\n
