<\/p>\nTwo people were found dead in a Jacksonville home, prompting an investigation by homicide detectives, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. <\/p>\n
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Two people were found dead Saturday night inside a Jacksonville home, and homicide detectives are now investigating, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n
The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office said patrol officers responded around 10 p.m. to the 4100 block of Sherman Hills Parkway West for a welfare check after a neighbor became concerned about the residents.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the complainant told officers the home\u2019s garage door had been open throughout the day while the lights inside remained off. The neighbor also said attempts to contact the occupants by knocking on the door and calling them were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
While officers were checking the exterior of the home, the homeowners\u2019 daughter arrived at the residence after being contacted by the neighbor and allowed officers inside to conduct a welfare check on her parents.<\/p>\n
During a sweep of the residence, officers found two people unresponsive in the rear of the home.<\/p>\n
Responding crews with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives responded and are continuing to investigate the deaths. JSO said the incident appears to be isolated and there is no known threat to the community at this time.<\/p>\n
