Areas just to the north remain under a higher level 3 risk, while locations to the south are under a level 1 risk.

The main threat with these storms will be strong wind gusts, especially in clusters or lines of storms. Hail is considered a secondary threat, though stronger storms could still produce some hail.

Areas north of the region face a greater risk for damaging winds and larger hail, particularly for those traveling in that direction later today.

The primary window for storms in the San Antonio area is between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., with northern counties possibly seeing activity begin slightly earlier. After 1 a.m., storms are expected to move south and exit the area, bringing lower humidity and slightly cooler conditions for Monday.

Rainfall totals will vary, with some areas seeing as little as a tenth of an inch, while others could receive more than an inch under heavier downpours.

SAN ANTONIO – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Bexar County and surrounding areas through midnight.…

[5133
5229,7202,7203,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-787498","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-antonio","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-san-antonio","10":"tag-sanantonio","11":"tag-texas","12":"tag-tx","13":"tag-united-states","14":"tag-united-states-of-america","15":"tag-unitedstates","16":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","17":"tag-us","18":"tag-usa
["GET
