One additional note: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsidespirit.com\/news\/cb-7-postpones-vote-on-controversial-72nd-st-bike-lane-IM5824921\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.westsidespirit.com\/news\/cb-7-postpones-vote-on-controversial-72nd-st-bike-lane-IM5824921\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">West Side Spirit<\/a> referred to Streetsblog as a \u201cpro-bike\u201d media outlet, yet referred to the pro-car New York Post merely as \u201cthe New York Post,\u201d which feels a bit asymmetrical.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of the Upper West Side bikelash, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2026\/05\/09\/upper-west-side-bikelash-we-see-what-we-look-at\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2026\/05\/09\/upper-west-side-bikelash-we-see-what-we-look-at\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">West Side Rag ran an opinion piece<\/a> that put the battle into perspective.<\/li>\n<li>And speaking of the pro-car New York Post, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/09\/opinion\/city-halls-new-park-avenue-redesign-scheme-is-a-mess\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/09\/opinion\/city-halls-new-park-avenue-redesign-scheme-is-a-mess\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">columnist Steve Cuozzo<\/a> has really gone off the deep end with his latest pack of lies against the DOT\u2019s hardly radical effort to return Park Avenue to hits actual historic roots. Also, Steve, when you link to Streetsblog, please link to <a href=\"http:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\" type=\"link\" id=\"http:\/\/nyc.streetsblog.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the right site<\/a> \u2014 our <a href=\"http:\/\/usa.streetsblog.org\" type=\"link\" id=\"http:\/\/usa.streetsblog.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">USA <\/a>affiliate hasn\u2019t written about Park Avenue or any of the infinitesimal New York City streetscape changes that obsess you to the point of destroying your value as a tabloid columnist. Also, you can\u2019t call DOT plan a \u201cTrojan horse\u201d for a bike lane and then, in the next sentence, point out that DOT is indeed shopping around a design with a bike lane. That\u2019s the opposite of a Trojan horse; it\u2019s a press release.<\/li>\n<li>And speaking of the bikelash, former Post media columnist Keith Kelly earned a profile in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/how-keith-kelly-media-reporter-local-news-1236586937\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/how-keith-kelly-media-reporter-local-news-1236586937\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hollywood Reporter<\/a> for reviving local media \u2014\u00a0but, of course, the only problem he can see in New York are cyclists. Hey, Keith, ever hear of internalized oppression? Look it up.<\/li>\n<li>Help the NYPD find this crazy man who injured a boy by pushing him off his bike.
