Discovery<\/a> (WBD) streamer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCaro has \u201cmutually agreed to part ways\u201d with HBO Max, with his team reporting into Deniz Sasmaz Oflaz in her new role as HBO Max\u2019s VP, Local Originals for Spain, Italy and Turkey, in the interim. A replacement for Caro, who was Director of Local Originals, is being sought.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tA memo from Oflaz, seen by Deadline, outlined the changes to staff today. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cFollowing recent changes to the International Local Originals structure, led by Sarah Aubrey\u00a0and\u00a0in light of\u00a0my expanded role as VP Local Originals for Spain, Italy, and\u00a0Turkey\u00a0for HBO Max,\u00a0we have been reviewing our local setup and priorities,\u201d wrote Oflaz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cAs part of this review,\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Caro and the company have mutually agreed to part ways, and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda will be stepping down from his role leading local original production in Spain.\u00a0Since January 2025, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda has overseen the delivery of several successful Spanish originals, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/when-no-one-sees-us\/\" id=\"auto-tag_when-no-one-sees-us\" data-tag=\"when-no-one-sees-us\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">When No One Sees Us<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/rage\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rage\" data-tag=\"rage\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rage<\/a>,\u00a0whose second season is currently in production.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOflaz thanked Caro and wished him \u201cevery success in his next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCaro had joined Warners in April 2024, and took on his current post in January 2025 after Alberto Carullo, then VP of Productions for Italy and Iberia at what was Max, left WBD to join Mediaset.
