Eric Clapton ended a recent concert in Spain early after he was struck by an object thrown by someone in the audience.<\/p>\n
While performing at the Movistar Arena in Madrid on May 7, a concertgoer threw what appeared to be a vinyl record at the legendary guitarist, according to fan-captured video<\/a> of the incident.<\/p>\n The viral clip shows Clapton walking on the stage when he\u2019s hit by the object, which startled him and caused him to momentarily pause.<\/p>\n Eric Clapton (pictured here in 2023) was struck by an object during his May 7 concert in Madrid.<\/p>\n Fan-captured footage shows when the rock legend (seen here in 2023) was hit by what appears to be a vinyl record thrown by a concertgoer. Getty Images for Crossroads Guitar Festival<\/p>\n Clapton, 81, had just finished performing \u201cCocaine\u201d and, after being impacted by the vinyl record, did not return to the stage to perform \u201cBefore You Accuse Me\u201d as the encore, as he\u2019s done with other shows on the European leg of his tour, reports Guitar World<\/a>.<\/p>\n The musician didn\u2019t appear to be injured, and performed in Barcelona on May 10.<\/p>\n Representatives for Clapton didn\u2019t have a comment when contacted by Page Six.<\/p>\n The incident caused Clapton (seen here in 2023) to end the concert early, according to reports.
