A hair clipper malfunction will have dashed any prospect of David Beckham entering the barbering industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The England<\/a> and Manchester United<\/a> icon donned a wide variety of haircuts throughout his legendary football career, and this latest one may rank as his worst one yet.<\/p>\n

From blond locks to a mohawk, and buzz cuts to cornrows, Beckham<\/a> became one of the most recognisable footballers ever with his styles.<\/p>\n

A short and smart look has been his go-to in recent years, and that was seemingly his aim during an attempted haircut this weekend.<\/p>\n

However, in a video posted on his Instagram, Beckham did not have a successful stint with his tools.<\/p>\n

“What have you done?” wife Victoria asked him, and the former midfielder said: “The thing of the clippers fell off my head, fell of my clippers.”<\/p>\n

“You were trying to give yourself a haircut,” Victoria added before her visibly dejected husband revealed the result.<\/p>\n

Once David removed his hand from his head, a noticeable patch of his hair was missing to the point of him being almost partly bald.<\/p>\n

Victoria began to laugh but was then told: “It’s not funny.”<\/p>\n

“I mean, the hours of content that the kids have got from this,” she added. “It does not look good.<\/p>\n

“I’m going to always be honest with you, it looks terrible.”<\/p>\n

It means ‘Golden Balls’ had to follow suit with the length of hair around the rest of his head – somewhat saving the calamity. <\/p>\n

On a previous episode of Stick to Football, Beckham revealed how the mohawk cut left his legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson far from happy.<\/p>\n

Ferguson even called for drastic measures before a 2-0 Charity Shield defeat against Chelsea in 2000.<\/p>\n

“I took the hat off, and he looked at me and went, ‘Go and shave it off’,” Beckham said<\/a>. “We were just about to go out for the warm-up.<\/p>\n

“So I had to then get a pair of clippers, go into the changing room at Wembley and shave it off.<\/p>\n

“I could understand that… Well, actually I can’t. I went and shaved it off, because he wouldn’t have played me.”<\/p>\n

If Beckham had as much success with the clippers as he did with free-kicks and crosses, he may have taken on a new profession.<\/p>\n

But judging by his latest attempt, it’s unlikely we’ll see ‘Beckham the Barber’ anytime soon.<\/p>\n
