PHOENIX \u2014 The body of an Arizona man was pulled from the Colorado River on Thursday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Bullhead City Police Department<\/a> identified 51-year-old Thomas Michael McCluney of Bullhead City as the man who was pulled from the river.<\/p>\n

Bullhead City boating officers responded to a beach in the area of Moser Avenue and Sixth Street<\/a> around 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

McCluney was reportedly pulled from the river after going under water while attempting to float on a raft with a friend.<\/p>\n

Life-saving measures were administered but McCluney was pronounced dead after being transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical center.<\/p>\n

Bullhead City Police said that the drowning appears to have been accidental.<\/p>\n

The department noted that McCluney was not wearing a life jacket.<\/p>\n
