– Fort Worth restaurateur David Shaw, 73, opened Shaw\u2019s Southwest Grille on the Granbury square<\/a> after surviving a near-fatal August fall onto a metal bolt that severed two arteries, followed by multiple surgeries, infections and prostate cancer treatment. His wife and co-owner, Ann Diakis Shaw, opened the Southwestern restaurant in a 150-year-old limestone landmark while he recovered.<\/p>\n – Alexavier Nalani Nahoolewa, 19, was fatally shot by a Saginaw police officer<\/a> on May 7 while officers served a felony arrest warrant at a home on North Creek Drive.
