They have a daughter, Lola, born in 2007, and a son, Nakoa-Wolf, born in 2008. Momoa\u2019s kids are growing up fast, and when he stepped onto the red carpet to promote his latest film, \u201cChief of War,\u201d he was joined by his teenagers. <\/p>\n<p>The family posed for photos on the red carpet at Ko Olina Beach Park in Kapolei, Hawaii, on Friday, July 18, 2025. The sweet moment not only showed that Momoa\u2019s kids are growing up fast and are gorgeous, but it also gave a glimpse into a more playful side of their personalities. <\/p>\n<p>Jason Momoa Honors His Hawaiian Heritage<\/p>\n<p>The film, a story about a Hawaiian war chief, saw Momoa posing for photos in the same cape that he wore in the movie. Momoa, who has Hawaiian heritage, plays the role of Ka\u02bbiana. This includes the names he chose for his children. His daughter Lola\u2019s middle name is Iolani, which means \u201croyal hawk,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jason-momoa-lisa-bonet-kids-everything-to-know-11757303\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">People reports<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha\u2019s name is also an honor to Momoa\u2019s heritage. People reports that Nakoa means \u201cwarrior,\u201d and Manakauapo is a comment on the \u201cdark and rainy weather conditions when he was born.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What Has Jason Momoa Said About Fatherhood?<\/p>\n<p>Fatherhood is a role that the \u201cAquaman\u201d actor takes seriously. He has discussed what having children means to him in several interviews. In a 2020 chat with InStyle, Momoa discussed becoming a father and how he had learned to share his emotions. \u201cI didn\u2019t know what it takes to be a dad,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instyle.com\/celebrity\/jason-momoa-dune-interview-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told InStyle<\/a>. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t want to just tell my son, \u2018Because I said so.\u2019 I really want to connect, and I want him to be vulnerable and open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March 2024, Momoa <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jason-momoa-jokes-hes-losing-cool-factor-daily-with-his-two-teens-exclusive-8605775\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told People<\/a> how he has prioritised spending time with his children. \u201cI spent a lot of time with them when they were younger, which is super important. Then they traveled with me quite a bit. But now, going into high school, they\u2019ve got their friends and stuff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cThey still like me, which is good.
