In our head-to-head comparison<\/a> article, the Samsung Galaxy S25+<\/a> and Galaxy S26+<\/a> traded blows \u2013 well, \u201cblows\u201d may be too strong a word considering how similarly the two performed. And as we noted in that article, the older 2025 Plus is cheaper.<\/p>\n

Right now, Amazon US has a 256GB Galaxy S25+ at $700 \u2013 that\u2019s $300 less than when the phone launched. Meanwhile, the S26+ got a price hike and the 256GB model normally costs $1,100, though that is discounted to a more reasonable $925<\/a> at the moment.<\/p>\n

Note that since we did our review, one of the differences between the S25+ and S26+ disappeared \u2013 Samsung officially rolled out One UI 8.5<\/a> to the Galaxy S25 and S24 series. Of course, the newer model will get new software faster (the S26 series can already beta test One UI 9<\/a>) and it will be supported for a year longer \u2013 that said, support for the Galaxy S25+ officially ends in 2032, so that is a long way off.<\/p>\n

Also note that we reviewed the global S26+, which uses Exynos 2600, while the US model has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 compared to Snapdragon 8 Elite (which the S25+ used globally).<\/p>\n
