{"id":792510,"date":"2026-05-13T03:14:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T03:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/792510\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T03:14:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T03:14:28","slug":"scottsdale-school-district-puts-375-million-bond-measure-on-november-ballot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/792510\/","title":{"rendered":"Scottsdale school district puts $375 million bond measure on November ballot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SCOTTSDALE, AZ \u2014 The Scottsdale School Board has voted to place a $375 million bond measure on the November ballot to fund improvements at more than two dozen schools.<\/p>\n<p>District officials are considering a bond measure of up to $375 million for campus security upgrades, new technology and repairs to aging infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The district is not building new schools due to declining enrollment, but district leaders say existing buildings still need work.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday&#8217;s meeting will review details. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCampus security is probably more important now than I\u2019ve ever experienced it,\u201d said Dennis Roehler, the district\u2019s director of facilities, at a recent meeting. \u201cIt seems like every other day there\u2019s something in the news about bad happenings on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized the bond money would be spread out across the district\u2019s more than two dozen campuses.<\/p>\n<p>    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc15.com\/chandler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/scottsdale-less-mullions.jpg\" style=\"max-width:1800px;width:100%;\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Null\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re all about Scottsdale \u2014 the schools, the neighborhoods, the businesses, the decisions being made at City Hall and in the community that affect your daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Connect with your community by joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/yourscottsdalenews\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Your Scottsdale News Facebook Group!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make sure every school is touched,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the last school bond, this one will not fund any new construction. The district is closing two schools this year due to declining enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>If voters approve the measure, it would cost the average homeowner about $13 more a month in property taxes on a home valued at $600,000.<\/p>\n<p>A recent survey found six in 10 Scottsdale voters were supportive of a bond measure.
