Police Wednesday renewed their push to catch whoever struck and severely injured a bicyclist in the Pico-Union area last year in a crash captured on video.<\/p>\n
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at about 3:15 a.m. on May 28, 2025, the rider, a man in his 60s, was going southbound on Hoover Street on the west sidewalk and was hit while crossing 20th Street by a white car that was turning left onto 20th from Hoover.<\/p>\n
The sedan was last seen speeding west on 20th Street toward the Santa Monica (10) Freeway.<\/p>\n
Video of the violent crash was posted online at youtube.com\/watch?v=dfGHZOj4LAI.<\/p>\n
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run was urged to contact the LAPD\u2019s West Traffic Division at 213-473-0216 to speak with Detective Holmes.
