The apartment, on the top floor of a walk-up in the Cobble Hill Historic District, has appealing details.<\/p>\n

In a prewar Cobble Hill walk-up building, this apartment is petite but fits in fetching details, including a wood burning fireplace, a kitchen with a graphic tile floor, and storage space. It requires a healthy daily workout, as it is on the fourth floor of 175 Hicks Street.<\/p>\n

Within the Cobble Hill Historic District, the building was designed by noted architect Albert Parfitt<\/a>. It is one of several the architect designed for builder Henry Roth. The builder\u2019s plans for the corner of Amity and Clinton streets made the news in the summer of 1900<\/a> when it was reported he planned to construct several four-story apartment buildings with \u201cswell fronts.\u201d Plans filed<\/a> in July of 1900 said No. 175 was designed to house nine families.<\/p>\n

This one-bedroom unit has been renovated with an open plan kitchen and living room. The front door opens into the cooking area which has white subway tile on the walls, white cabinets, open shelving, and the graphic tile floor.<\/p>\n

There is another graphic touch in the living room, with a black and white mosaic tile surround for the fireplace. There room also has picture rails, two windows, and a closet.<\/p>\n

An arched doorway leads to the bedroom and bathroom. There is a wall of storage in the bedroom. The room, while compact, has two exposures.<\/p>\n

The windowed bathroom was updated with a black hex tile floor and a vanity with storage.<\/p>\n

Laundry is in the building\u2019s basement and there is also a bike room and storage space. The listing notes that pied-\u00e0-terres and co-purchasers are allowed. Maintenance is $1,576 a month.<\/p>\n

The unit last sold in 2019 for $730,000. Corcoran\u2019s Jessica Buchman and Bryan Rettaliata have the listing and the unit is priced at $799,000. What do you think?<\/p>\n
