Jump to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpr.org\/government-politics\/2026-05-15\/may-26-primary-runoff-election-your-tpr-guide-to-voting-in-san-antonio-and-texas#myballot\" class=\"Link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">My Ballot<\/a> tool below.<\/p>\n<p>Early voting for Texas\u2019 May 26 primary runoff election begins Monday, May 18, and continues through Friday, May 22. <\/p>\n<p>In Bexar County, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day during early voting and on Election Day, Tuesday, May 26.<\/p>\n<p>Bexar County\u2019s Justice Center branch early voting site at 300 Dolorosa St. is listed separately by Bexar County Elections with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the early voting period.<\/p>\n<p>You can find Bexar County early voting locations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bexar.org\/DocumentCenter\/View\/4572\/Early-Voting-Locations-and-Hours-PDF?bidId=\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a> and Election Day polling locations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bexar.org\/DocumentCenter\/View\/9423\/Election-Day-Vote-Centers-PDF\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Public Radio\u2019s voter guide below includes candidate information, interviews and additional reporting on some of the highest-profile runoff races facing voters in San Antonio and across Texas.<\/p>\n<p>What to know before you vote:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"rte2-style-ul\">\n<li>Texas voters who participated in a party primary in March can only vote in that same party\u2019s runoff election.<\/li>\n<li>Voters who did not participate in the March primary can vote in either party\u2019s runoff election.<\/li>\n<li>Bexar County voters can cast a ballot at any early voting location during the early voting period and at any countywide vote center on Election Day.<\/li>\n<li>The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail is Friday, May 15. You can track the status of your mail-in ballot using <a href=\"https:\/\/goelect.txelections.civixapps.com\/ivis-oab-ui\/#\/login\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the Texas Secretary of State\u2019s ballot tracker<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Voters must present an approved form of photo identification when voting in person. Acceptable forms include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"rte2-style-ul\">\n<li>Texas driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Texas personal ID card<\/li>\n<li>Texas election identification certificate<\/li>\n<li>Texas handgun license<\/li>\n<li>U.S. military ID with photo<\/li>\n<li>U.S. citizenship certificate with photo<\/li>\n<li>U.S. passport<\/li>\n<li>Most IDs can be expired for up to four years and still be accepted.
