During our interview, Menchaca also gushed over what it was like working with series star Hauser.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s good to work with somebody who is so knowledgeable about the world, and also has a hand in where the story is going,\u201d he said, referring to the fact that Hauser is now an executive producer.\u00a0\u201cHe was a good shoulder to lean on.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cOzark\u201d actor \u2013 who has been married to \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d star Lena Headey since 2022 \u2013 plays Zachariah, one of Rip\u2019s new ranch hands who recently got out of prison.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As for training for the show? The actors all came in with varying levels of cowboy skills.<\/p>\n
Some had to go through a full \u201ccowboy camp\u201d to shape up for filming, while others, like English, were naturals and exempt from training.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt really at home [on the show],\u201d the actor \u2014 who plays a new ranch hand character \u2014 said, noting that he\u2019s a real-life cowboy who grew up riding and roping. \u201cEverybody in my way of life all loves the Taylor Sheridan universe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Still, he worked alongside real cowboys to brush up on some of those skills, and turned to another cinema icon for inspiration: \u201cRobert Duvall in \u2018Tender Mercies\u2019 and \u2018Lonesome Dove.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Eddie \u2014 who also plays a new ranch hand character \u2014 was one of the actors who had to participate in the intense cowboy camp. He told Page Six that training activities included riding a horse while balancing an egg on a spoon, which he said co-star Jai Courtney did best.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Raba didn\u2019t have to get rowdy outdoors, as his character is a suit-wearing fixer. However, he told Page Six that filming \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d was still a learning experience for him, as working with Bening was \u201clike going to school every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnnette is a master of this craft,\u201d he raved. \u201cSometimes I\u2019d call my wife and say, \u2018I just got paid to go to acting school,\u2019 because I am getting schooled every single day on set.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
