{"id":799647,"date":"2026-05-16T03:13:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T03:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/799647\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T03:13:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T03:13:15","slug":"phoenix-social-media-influencer-accused-of-hiding-1-2m-from-irs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/799647\/","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix social media influencer accused of hiding $1.2M from IRS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A Phoenix social media influencer has been indicted on federal charges after investigators said he hid more than $1.2 million from the IRS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A federal grand jury indicted Charles Lewis Davis, 33, on April 21 for lying on his tax returns, prosecutors said Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the indictment, Davis, owner of Forever Investments, which posts videos featuring Davis on social media platforms, didn\u2019t tell his tax preparer that he made an additional $807,142 in 2020 and $390,566 in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Prosecutors said he hid the untaxed cash in his personal and business bank accounts, brokerage accounts and cryptocurrency accounts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Davis made his first court appearance Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/26\/7206\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/26\/7206\">making false statements on his tax returns<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for each count.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">See a spelling or grammatical error in our story? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/page\/send-us-your-feedback\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Please click here to report it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Do you have a photo or video of a breaking news story?
