Just as an artist starts with literally or metaphorically – a ‘blank canvas,’ the concept of blankness implies the unlimited possibilities of what can fill it. Blank can also refer to what is implied or unsaid by its absence. Selected artists were invited to submit artwork and asked to include another object that represents “blank — as a metaphor for possibility,” however the artist should interpret the theme.

Using an experimental kind of curation, the Kickpigeon Kids, the artist duo of Cosmo Jones and Max Marshall, use their combined experiences to create installations out of participating artist’s work, their chosen objects and other ephemera, transforming the exhibit itself into a collaborative group work. In this way the Kickpigeon Kids work to demystify ART by creating spaces where anyone can join in questioning the norms of how art is made, seen, and shown.

The Alternative Art School is a global online art school — in dialogue with visionary artists, curators and a global artist community.”

Note: the following is part of Glasstire’s series of short videos, Five-Minute Tours, for which commercial galleries, museums,…

[5138
325899,5229,325900,7371,7372,325901,276330,358,325902,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-799754","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-fort-worth","8":"tag-alternative-art-school","9":"tag-america","10":"tag-cosmo-jones","11":"tag-fort-worth","12":"tag-fortworth","13":"tag-kickpigeon-kids","14":"tag-max-marshall","15":"tag-texas","16":"tag-the-grackle-art-gallery","17":"tag-tx","18":"tag-united-states","19":"tag-united-states-of-america","20":"tag-unitedstates","21":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","22":"tag-us","23":"tag-usa
["GET
