PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Police are searching for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run in west Phoenix early Saturday morning. <\/p>\n

Just before 3 a.m., officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian near 50th Avenue and McDowell Road<\/a>, north of Interstate 10. Police say the man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by a car.<\/p>\n

Firefighters arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. He has not yet been publicly identified.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the driver involved fled the scene before police arrived and has not been found. Detectives are working to gather information about the vehicle\u2019s make and model.<\/p>\n
