The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that happened overnight at massage parlors in Chinatown.<\/p>\n
According to police, the first robbery happened at 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at a business located on the 200 block of North 12th Street. The second robbery occurred just three hours later, at 4 a.m., at a business on the 100 block of North 10th Street.<\/p>\n
Police did not say whether they think the two robberies are related.<\/p>\n
Robbery on North 12th Street<\/p>\n
According to police, three male suspects were let into the property by the victim, and then they forced themselves by pushing the victim out of the way once inside.<\/p>\n
Officials said the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene. One of the suspects was armed with a gun.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been made in connection with this robbery.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
Robbery on North 10th Street<\/p>\n
Five suspects, three men and two women, forced their way into the business, according to police. Officials also said that four of the suspects were armed.<\/p>\n
According to police, the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones.<\/p>\n
A 41-year-old woman sustained a cut to the right side of her face, police said. She was transported by a private vehicle to Jefferson University Hospital where she was treated and released.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
