We were like, oh OK, this is happening, like, now,\u201d Sharpe told <a data-ylk=\"slk:The New York Times. ;elm:affiliate_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;elmt:premonetized;\" href=\"http:\/\/go.redirectingat.com\/?id=44681X1458326&amp;xcust=b2978059&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2026%2F05%2F16%2Fnyregion%2Fbirth-courtroom-baby-nyc.html&amp;sref=\/news\/world\/americas\/woman-gives-birth-new-york-courtroom-b2978059.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The New York Times. <\/a>\u201cIt was a joyful and sad situation, given the circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Randazzo was arrested Thursday on charges of drug possession and trespassing. She was allegedly on the roof of her building in the Nostrand Houses in Brooklyn without permission, according to the New York City Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Officers claim to have found a small amount of heroin and cocaine on her during a search.<\/p>\n<p>Randazzo was not eligible for a desk appearance ticket, which would allow her to return to court at a future date, because she had an open warrant for her arrest.
