KINGSTON, N.Y. \u2014 The Center for Photography at Woodstock will host an exhibition featuring the works of 16 artists from the Women Photographers Collective of the Mid-Hudson Valley, the center announced.<\/p>\n
The exhibition opens Saturday, May 30, at the center, 25 Dederick St., and will be on view through Sunday, July 5. An opening reception will take place May 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. Gallery hours are Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
Titled \u201cGestures of Care, Resilience, and Connection,\u201d the exhibition \u201creflects an ongoing commitment to shared dialogue, support, and creative exchange,\u201d organizers said in a press release.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt a time when many feel unsafe, unseen, or divided, this exhibition gathers photographs that turn our attention toward what holds us together,\u201d the release added. \u201cAcross intimate moments, lived environments, and collective actions, these works suggest that community is not a fixed entity but an ongoing practice \u2014 formed through gestures of care, sustained through resilience, and activated through connection.\u201d<\/p>\n
Artists featured in the exhibition include Joan Barker, Ana Bergen, Shari Diamond, Jill Enfield, Judit German-Heins, Karen Ghostlaw, Lori Grinker, and Morgan Gwenwald. Also featured are Maria Fernanda Hubeaut, Kay Kenny, Dana Matthews, Meryl Meisler, Adina Scherer, Carla Shapiro, Kate Warren, and Ruth Wetzel. The exhibition is curated by Shari Diamond.<\/p>\n
