BEXAR COUNTY, Texas \u2014 Authorities are searching for a man after human remains were discovered at his home in Far South Bexar County.<\/p>\n
According to the Bexar County Sheriff\u2019s Office (BCSO), 49-year-old Charles Vandoil Byrd is wanted for Tampering With Evidence With Intent to Impair a Human Corpse.<\/p>\n
BCSO says deputies were called to a home Saturday in the 22100 block of Pleasanton Road after a caller reported that Byrd said he had killed his wife. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a decomposed body wrapped in plastic in Byrd\u2019s residence on the property.<\/p>\n
Deputies say Byrd is currently considered a person of interest in this case and he may be armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n
Byrd is 5\u20196, approximately 208 pounds, with blonde hair, and blue eyes. Byrd was last seen on Saturday, July 19, driving a 2025 black Dodge Ram pickup truck with Texas license plate WLW-2027.<\/p>\n
