<\/p>\nA man died after reportedly being hit by a vehicle in Phoenix; officials are investigating whether he fell from an overpass or crossed the freeway on foot.<\/p>\n
PHOENIX \u2014 A has died after a pedestrian incident Saturday night in Phoenix, the city’s police department said.<\/p>\n
Around 11:45 p.m., officers responded to 12th Street and I-10 to help Department of Public Safety Troopers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to officials, officers were told a man, later identified as Max Jeffrey, 66, was struck by a vehicle. Initial information revealed Jeffrey may have fallen from the overpass onto the freeway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Emergency crews responded to the incident and pronounced Jeffrey dead. Authorities said the driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The driver reportedly said they believed the man fell from the overpass when they hit him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
No signs of impairment were observed in the driver. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Officials have yet to confirm if Jeffrey fell from the overpass or was struck by the vehicle as a pedestrian crossing the freeway on foot.\u00a0<\/p>\n
