A live DJ and performances continued at the end of the parade route following the march.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Organizers nearly canceled this year\u2019s celebration, but events moved forward under the theme \u201cThe Bronx Leads.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Over the past two weeks, Bronx Week featured events including Salsa in the Streets, a soapbox derby, running events and the Bronx Night Market.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">\u201cThe Bronx leads the system because we are,\u201d said Desiree of the 40 Plus Double Dutch Club, which participated in Sunday\u2019s parade. \u201cWe lead in everything \u2014 hip-hop. We are a diverse group. We have people from all over.
