The living room is spacious with high, beamed ceilings and multiple exposures (west and south). The kitchen is a classic galley with a decent amount of counter space and storage. There’s also a little alcove dining nook and a foyer with room for the kind of grab-and-go storage one would want in that space. The bedroom has west-facing windows and can fit a king, though just barely. That said, there’s a large closet outside the bedroom and another walk-in at the entrance, so you may not need much other storage in there. The bathroom is bland but roomy. Maintenance is $2,674, but St. George Tower is full service — there’s a 24-hour doorman, a super, laundry on every third floor for minimal hassle, bike storage, and a rooftop deck. And girls, it’s a teeny one. Essentially an extended-stay hotel with nicer finishes: The focal point of the living and bedroom is the decorative fireplace, and the views are of your leafy block. The open kitchen has custom soft-close cabinetry, stone countertops, a microwave–convection oven, and an island that will be your only eating and cooking surface. The bathroom is small but nicely appointed with marble tile and limestone floors. There is a good amount of storage in the apartment, thanks to custom oak built-ins, but you’re working with a small space — prepare accordingly. Maintenance is $942, about right for a walk-up. (You’re on the third floor.) Amenities include a live-in superintendent, bike storage, on-site laundry, and a landscaped common courtyard garden. Walkable to lots of lovely stuff — IFC Center, Washington Square Park, and that cute little shopping district on Bleecker that is actually a retail psyop! The space is simple but nicely laid out with attractive finishes. The open kitchen–living room is narrow but long with great parquets. The kitchen looks recently updated, and though the listing is short on details, it does claim it’s a “chef’s kitchen.” The cabinets and the countertops are nice. The bathroom has been recently redone as well and has a tub. The bedrooms are proper bedroom-size, though the second is a bit smaller. The primary has a walk-in closet, and there are three other closets off the entrance. Maintenance is $1,024, and the building is “100 percent owner occupied” and has “a common garden, package room, two laundry rooms, live-in super, two porters, composting bins, community library, bike storage, and parking garage (waitlist).” The main attraction is the park, and proximity to the cutie bang-bang option of Piccoli-to-Go followed by Uncle Louie G’s for ices. Elk Cafe is on the same block. The living room is narrow but long (again), and the open kitchen is an L-shaped alcove, which allows for extra counter space and a bit more room to work with. The windowed kitchen also has limestone countertops and stainless-steel appliances, including a Viking wine cooler, which is kind of funny. The bathroom is roomy enough for extra linen storage. The bedroom is nicely sized with double exposures. There’s a walk-in closet in addition to three closets elsewhere in the apartment. The views are of Grace Church. Maintenance is $2,259, and the building is full-service: 24-hour doorman, landscaped courtyard, bike room, storage, parking garage, and live-in resident manager. The location is ideal, to me, as you can go to the Union Square Whole Foods whenever you want. Washington Square Park and Union Square (with its farmers’ market) in either direction, more subways than you can name, and Strand Books if you feel like it.

Sign Up for the Curbed Newsletter

A daily mix of stories about cities, city life, and our always evolving neighborhoods and skylines.

Vox Media, LLC Terms and Privacy Notice

By submitting your email, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice and to receive email correspondence from us.

  Related

651 Vanderbilt Street Photo-Illustration: Curbed; Photo: SERHANT For under a million dollars, one can find all sorts of…

[5122
5229,11096,327706,73273,23152,327707,317095,405,403,5226,5225,5228,5227,109075,4329,41008,158649,67,586,132,5230,327708,68,2969,19146,38536
post-804964","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-new-york","tag-america","tag-apartments","tag-apartments-in-new-york-city","tag-brooklyn-heights","tag-greenwich-village","tag-hotel-st-george","tag-moving-month","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-newyork","tag-newyorkcity","tag-ny","tag-nyc","tag-private-clubs","tag-real-estate","tag-the-real-estate","tag-under-a-million","tag-united-states","tag-united-states-of-america","tag-unitedstates","tag-unitedstatesofamerica","tag-urban-country-clubs","tag-us","tag-usa","tag-west-village","tag-windsor-terrace
["GET
