Highs for us are not unusual, so expect sizzling daytime highs in the 90s today through Thursday with heat index values above 100.<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\"><strong>HOUSTON<\/strong> &#8211; Muggy this morning, then mostly sunny and hot with highs in the mid to upper 90s.<\/p>\n<p>   Intense heat through mid-week <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Expect sizzling daytime highs of 97\u201399 today through Thursday with heat index values above 100.<\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Morning lows remain steamy. Although no heat advisories are in effect, be careful not to overexert yourself outside, stay hydrated and get in the AC when possible.<\/p>\n<p> Storm chances Friday as Gulf moisture returns <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/img_2160.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">Moisture from the Gulf\u2014augmented by remnants of last week&#8217;s tropical wave\u2014will surge in Thursday night into Friday, boosting rain and storm chances to 50%, especially during afternoon and evening hours.<\/p>\n<p> Tropics remain fairly quiet <\/p>\n<p data-v-bd34935e=\"\">The National Hurricane Center confirms no active threats in our vicinity.
