1.\u00a0Police: Two suspects kill 3 people at a San Diego mosque before killing themselves<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n Authorities say two teenage suspects opened fire at an Islamic center in San Diego, killing three men before killing themselves. T<\/p>\n he slayings Monday are being investigated as a hate crime. <\/p>\n That’s according to Police Chief Scott Wahl. The Islamic Center of San Diego is the largest mosque in San Diego County, according to its website. Wahl says a security guard was among the victims and that the two suspects were found dead in a vehicle stopped in the middle of a road nearby. <\/p>\n He says the case began about two hours before the attack, when the mother of one of the suspects called police to report that her son was missing.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0Crews battle Sandy Fire in Simi Valley; evacuation orders issued<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n Mandatory evacuation orders and warnings have been issued for parts of Simi Valley as crews battle a brush fire near Sandy Drive.<\/p>\n The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. in Simi Valley, a city in Ventura County about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n The Sandy Fire is estimated to be at 720 acres with 0% containment, according to Cal Fire.\u00a0An evacuation point has been set up at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park. An animal shelter has also opened at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n According to officials, structures are currently threatened. (AP Photo\/Ethan Swope)<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0Probe finds no fault in evacuation decisions in Eaton Fire<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n An independent investigation did not identify misconduct or delay in evacuation decision-making by the Los Angeles County Fire Department in response to the Eaton Fire related to areas west of Lake Avenue, officials announced Monday.<\/p>\n Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said he initiated the independent investigation because the Altadena community deserves transparency.
