Itamar Sapir, 27, from Eli, was killed in combat in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896671\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">southern Lebanon<\/a>, the IDF announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Sapir was the deputy commander of a company in Battalion 7008.<\/p>\n<p>N12 reported that Sapir was killed on Tuesday morning, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/hezbollah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hezbollah<\/a> terrorists fired out of a church towards IDF soldiers operating in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Sapir is the tenth soldier killed in Lebanon since the start of the ongoing ceasefire, N12 reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Former prime minister Naftali Bennett mourned Sapir in a post on X\/Twitter, revealing that the fallen soldier left behind a wife and a one-and-a-half-year-old son.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also sent his condolences, saying, &#8220;Itamar, of blessed memory, a resident of the community of Eli, was a courageous commander who fought heroically against Hezbollah terrorists to defend our northern border.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;My wife Sara and I, together with all citizens of Israel, send our deepest condolences to his family and embrace them in this difficult hour. May his memory be a blessing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the military announced that<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-896374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Capt. Maoz Israel Recanati<\/a>, 24, from Itamar, was killed during combat in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">According to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, he was due to marry his fianc\u00e9e in about a month.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the IDF stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896300\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Staff-Sgt.
