In a new social media post, the DJ shows off her impressive physique in a tiny bathing suit while soaking up the sun in Spain. “La isla de la magia,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “❤️,” her Manchester United beau, Ruben Diaz, commented. “Gorgeous moments ❤️,” commented another follower. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Maya relies on strength training to stay in shape. “Before my trip to Australia for I’m A Celeb, I started a vigorous summer workout plan, which consisted of three sets of burpees, jumping squats and planks, followed by seated shoulder presses, squats, crunches and press-ups,” she told Women’s Health. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills

https://www.instagram.com/p/DKPtFQPi8QN/?img_index=1

Maya works out for the mental health benefits as well as the physical benefits. “I just think [working out] helps your mental health so much anyway – there’s a difference in how I feel if I go out and do some exercise versus just staying in bed all day,” she said. “I notice how it impacts my brain and how I’m feeling.”

Maya enjoys Pilates. “Everyone I know is riding the Pilates wave, so I decided to start and I’m absolutely loving it,” she told Women’s Health. I do one-to-one sessions with Marsha Lindsay at Nobu London and it’s great because it’s a lighter workout but you’re using every single muscle,” she continued. “You can also do it at midday, and it doesn’t leave you drenched with sweat. It’s the only form of exercise that I don’t have to talk myself into doing, and that’s a big thing for me!” Pilates helps “strengthen the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health,” says the Mayo Clinic. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Maya exercises at home. “Every morning I put good music on and dance around my bedroom or run up and down the stairs,” she told Stylist. “I’ve found wearing ankle weights really useful, putting on thick socks and weights while I do my daily activities for some extra resistance. And I’ve got an exercise bike in front of my TV so I can jump on that when I’m watching something.”

Maya Jama is heating up Ibiza in her bikini.
