  1. \n Carol Bove at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    From now until Aug. 2, Carol Bove\u2019s artwork is on display at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Spread out across the Guggenheim\u2019s spiral rotunda, Bove\u2019s work has become an intricately active part of the artwork\u2019s setting, from a library filled with materials from the artist\u2019s personal studio that guests can handle directly to an artist-made chess table where guests are welcome to start a game. Each work reflects her creative experiments with materials, colors, surface, scale and space. Tickets can be purchased on the museum\u2019s website or at the door.<\/p>\n

    1. \n Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera at MoMA<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Two of Mexico\u2019s most cherished artists\u2019 works, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, are currently on display at the Museum of Modern Art until Sept. 12. \u201cFrida and Diego: The Last Dream,\u201d in conjunction with The Metropolitan Opera\u2019s \u201cEl \u00daltimo Sue\u00f1o de Frida y Diego,\u201d tells the story of these artists\u2019 lives and artworks. MoMA\u2019s \u201cFrida and Diego: The Last Dream\u201d features the artworks in a detailed setting designed by Jon Bausor, the set and co-costume designer of \u201cEl \u00daltimo Sue\u00f1o de Frida y Diego.\u201d Tickets are available for purchase on the museum\u2019s website or at the door.<\/p>\n

      1. \n Sarah Lucas\u2019 \u201cVENUS VICTORIA\u201d at the New Museum<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Sarah Lucas\u2019 \u201cVENUS VICTORIA\u201d sculpture will be the inaugural artwork for the New Museum\u2019s public plaza since the museum\u2019s reopening in March. Lucas was selected by an all-artist jury, and \u201cVENUS VICTORIA\u201d celebrates women claiming space in public life. The sculpture will be on display starting May 12 in a new outdoor plaza located on Bowery, at Prince St. \u201cVENUS VICTORIA\u201d will be on display for two years. Entry to the public plaza is free, and tickets to the museum can be purchased on the museum\u2019s website or at the door.<\/p>\n

        1. \n \u201cRevolutionary Women\u201d at The New York Historical<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          From May 29 to Oct. 25, The New York Historical will be asking the question: how did the Revolution and living through the experience of war impact New York\u2019s women\u2013and how did women impact the Revolution in New York and beyond? The exhibition will include poems, petitions, paintings, love letters, household and archeological objects and more that analyze how women left a lasting mark on the fight for U.S. independence.             Opening on June 3, Andreas Schulze\u2019s \u201cCake\u201d will be on display at Spr\u00fcth Magers Gallery New York. Marking Schulze\u2019s first exhibition at the New York gallery, Cake is a motif that the artist has reexamined throughout his nearly 50 years of painting. These new paintings are filled with fruity colors and unique designs that touch on the artist\u2019s view of mixing pleasure and presentation. \u201cCake\u201d will be on view until July 31, and entry into the exhibition is free.<\/p>\n

            1. \n \u201cAnother Wonderland\u201d at The Museum of the City of New York<\/b>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Opening on June 6, Abram Champanier\u2019s Alice Mural will be on display at The Museum of the City of New York. Made for the children\u2019s ward at Gouverneur Hospital between 1938 and 1940, the sixteen-panel series features Lewis Carroll\u2019s \u201cAlice in Wonderland\u201d characters exploring New York City in the 1930s. \u201cAnother Wonderland\u201d marks the first time these panels will be on view in nearly 50 years and celebrates the rescue and decades-long restoration of the artwork. The exhibition will also feature archival photos and the story of the Works Progress Administration, which originally commissioned the mural through the Federal Art Project.                 From June 7 to Sept. 27, guests can view \u201cMusical Bodies,\u201d the first major exhibition that examines the intricate relationship between musical instruments and the human body, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The exhibition will feature over 130 instruments, paintings, drawings and more from around the world, investigating over 4,000 years of art and music history. Instruments such as ancient Egyptian rattles and one of Prince\u2019s guitars will be on view. Tickets can be purchased on the museum\u2019s website or at the door.<\/p>\n

                  From June 25 to Aug. 14, guests can view a solo exhibition by Shipibo-Konibo artist Sara Flores at White Cube New York. Organized in collaboration with the Shipibo-Conibo Center, \u201cSara Flores: From Other Worlds\u201d highlights Flores\u2019 Ken\u00e9 work. Ken\u00e9 is an ancient medium central to the cultural heritage of Shipibo-Konibo people, made with materials sourced from the Amazon, such as trees, wild cotton and botanicals. This exhibition is White Cube\u2019s fourth solo show of Sara Flores\u2019 artwork. Entry into the exhibition is free.<\/p>\n

                    The group exhibition \u201cYou Must Change Your Life\u201d will be on display at GRIMM Gallery New York from June 26 to Aug. 7. Featuring artists such as Anderson Borba, Charles Avery, Sophie Ruigrok, Matthew Day and many more, this exhibition takes its name from the final line of Rainer Maria Rilke\u2019s poem \u201cArchaic Torso of Apollo,\u201d written in 1918. \u201cYou Must Change Your Life\u201d comprises painters and sculptors from all around the world whose work tackles how the past speaks to the present. Entry into the exhibition is free.<\/p>\n

                      Opening on June 26, the double-gallery exhibition \u201cTarot! Renaissance Symbols, Modern Visions\u201d will be on display at The Morgan Library and Museum. The first part of the exhibition, \u201cRenaissance Symbols,\u201d will focus on the origins of the three earliest surviving tarot decks from the 15th century. All three of these decks were commissioned by the Dukes of Milan. The second part of the gallery, \u201cModern Visions,\u201d dives into the historical and modern influence of the 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck on artists. The deck was made by British poet Arthur Edward Waite and illustrated by British artist Pamela Colman Smith. The exhibition will be on display until Oct. 4.
