\nGrossmont High School held its Hall of Honor 105th Anniversary Celebration and recognized 12 staff and alumni. The newly inducted honorees joined the current 51 Hall of Honorees, who distinguished themselves through their years of service at Grossmont or through their achievements after high school. The honorees include five teachers, two staff members, and five alumni: pioneer GHS educators English teacher Dorothy Cooke Smith, 1927-1967 and P.E. teacher Jean Creelman,1946-1974; retired physics teacher Tom Eklund, 1974-2021; retired math teacher Sandy La Plant, 1970-2010; retired science teacher Sue Emerson, 1974-1996; and retired staff Joe Gizoni, 1962-2003 and Eddie DeCoito, 1969-2005.
