{"id":81276,"date":"2025-07-21T18:29:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T18:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/81276\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T18:29:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T18:29:09","slug":"nasa-isro-earth-satellite-mission-set-to-launch-july-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/81276\/","title":{"rendered":"NASA, ISRO Earth Satellite Mission Set to Launch July 30"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation have set the launch readiness date for the NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) mission for no earlier than Wednesday, July 30.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Earth-observing satellite, which will be the first to carry L- and S-band radars, is set to lift off aboard an ISRO Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle from ISRO\u2019s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on India\u2019s southeastern coast. Earlier this year, President Trump and Prime Minister Modi hailed NISAR is a critical part of a pioneering year for U.S. \u2013 India civil space cooperation.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NISAR will scan nearly all of Earth\u2019s land and ice surfaces twice every 12 days. The mission will measure changes in the planet\u2019s terrestrial ecosystems, growth and retreat of its ice sheets, glaciers, and sea ice, and tectonic deformation of its crust.
