{"id":81339,"date":"2025-07-21T19:02:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T19:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/81339\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T19:02:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T19:02:11","slug":"family-devastated-after-mother-allegedly-shot-killed-by-husband-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/81339\/","title":{"rendered":"Family devastated after mother allegedly shot, killed by husband \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amira Harper, 28, will be remembered for being a dedicated mother, according to her family. <\/p>\n<p>Harper was married for just five months to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/woman-critically-injured-in-south-philly-shooting-police-say\/4237836\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/woman-critically-injured-in-south-philly-shooting-police-say\/4237836\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">man accused of shooting and killing her on Saturday night<\/a> in front of her children. <\/p>\n<p>It started off as a calm night on the 2600 block of Latona Street in South Philadelphia on July 19 with people sitting on their stoops, but it quickly turned violent with a series of gun shots and screams around 8:40 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just heard a lot of noise like somebody arguing and then screaming,&#8221; Latifah Holloway described. <\/p>\n<p>Holloway lives just a couple of doors down and to her disbelief, it was her friend, Harper, who needed help. <\/p>\n<p>After the shooting, a man can be seen in surveillance video leaving the house. <\/p>\n<p>That man was arrested and has been identified as 28-year-old Zakiyy Bonds. <\/p>\n<p>Family said that Harper and Bonds married in May of 2025 and lived in the Latona Street home with their children. <\/p>\n<p>Holloway told NBC10 that Harper&#8217;s children witnessed the shooting. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s just sad. It&#8217;s heart breaking. My heart is broken because she was really a nice person.
