Ehsas weaves archival footage with personal history to trace that legacy and surface his own connection to Momand\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m incredibly honored to have Sixteen Films supporting \u2018Forgotten Spaceman,&#8217;\u201d Ehsas said. \u201cThey have built a legacy of telling deeply human stories that too often go unseen, so their belief in this film means a great deal to me. Abdul Ahad Momand\u2019s journey is an extraordinary and largely forgotten piece of Afghan history, and I\u2019m excited for audiences to discover it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThomas-O\u2019Brien, speaking on behalf of Sixteen Films, added: \u201c\u2018Forgotten Spaceman\u2019 is a deeply moving film about memory, identity and the histories that risk being lost. Elham is an exceptional filmmaker with a distinctive voice, and we were immediately drawn to both the extraordinary true story at the heart of the project and the humanity and sensitivity with which he approaches it. It\u2019s exactly the kind of bold and deeply personal filmmaking we\u2019re proud to support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEhsas is a BAFTA-nominated and Oscar-shortlisted filmmaker whose short \u201cYellow\u201d received a BAFTA nomination in 2024. His most recent short, \u201cThere Will Come Soft Rains,\u201d won Best Film at both Raindance and Encounters Film Festival. His debut feature \u201cOur Kind of Love\u201d is currently in development with the BFI.
