In the United States, every American brand is getting new metal, and for Dodge, that includes a new halo sports car called the Copperhead, which will have an SRT variant. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/news\/a71376065\/dodge-copperhead-sports-coupe-confirmed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Car and Driver<\/a> got an early look at the car, describing it as long, low, and sleek and likely based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/dodge\/charger\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"1\" data-params=\"%7B%22make_alias%22%3A%22dodge%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22charger%22%7D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charger<\/a>. It has a copious number of vents, including an S-duct on the hood with a massive bulge. The automaker failed to provide any powertrain details to the publication, but we doubt it will offer anything less than a V-8.<\/p>\n<p>If the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/news\/796474\/2027-ram-1500-rumble-bee-horsepower-engine-specs-trims\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22796474%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%222027-ram-1500-rumble-bee-horsepower-engine-specs-trims%22%7D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ram Rumble Bee<\/a> is any indication, Dodge could even have a range of engine options for the vehicle\u2014but that remains to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>The Copperhead name is not new to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/dodge\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"2\" data-params=\"%7B%22alias%22%3A%22dodge%22%7D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dodge<\/a>, which will brand it with a Viper-like snake badge. The company last used the name nearly 30 years ago on a concept car (pictured above) designed to sit below the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/dodge\/viper\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"1\" data-params=\"%7B%22make_alias%22%3A%22dodge%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22viper%22%7D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Viper<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motor1\u2019s Take:<\/strong> With Stellantis injecting billions into new products, it appears Dodge is staying true to its performance roots.
