favorite amongst Liberty fans<\/a> during the preseason signed a developmental player contract with the franchise, the team announced Saturday.<\/p>\nMaley will replace fellow Aussie Alex Fowler, whom the Liberty waived Friday.<\/p>\n

Maley\u2019s relentless rebounding and confident play stood out during the Liberty\u2019s training camp. She combined for 26 points, 13 rebounds and four assists while coming off the bench in the team\u2019s two preseason games.<\/p>\n
Maley was waived before the season started and signed a developmental contract with the Mercury.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, though, Maley\u2019s time with Phoenix came to an end.<\/p>\n
Maley said she\u2019s happy to be back in New York.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel really lucky because to be honest, I get to experience a lot of different things,\u201d Maley said. \u201cThat\u2019s the only way I can look at it. It\u2019s hard getting waived and picked up and waived and picked up, but what\u2019s the alternative for me?<\/p>\n
