{"id":820291,"date":"2026-05-25T03:50:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T03:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/820291\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T03:50:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T03:50:22","slug":"fatal-crash-closes-dan-ryan-expressway-for-several-hours-sunday-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/820291\/","title":{"rendered":"Fatal crash closes Dan Ryan Expressway for several hours Sunday \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Illinois State Police are investigating after a fatal crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday morning. <\/p>\n<p>According to authorities, troopers were called to the outbound side of the highway near 91st Street at approximately 12:57 a.m. for reports of a multi-vehicle crash. <\/p>\n<p>Two vehicles were involved in the crash, and three occupants of those vehicles were injured, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Among them was a 20-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Two other individuals were taken to area hospitals for treatment for their injuries. <\/p>\n<p>Lanes of the highway were closed for more than four hours, with all lanes reopening just after 5 a.m. <\/p>\n<p>No further information was immediately available. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Illinois State Police are investigating after a fatal crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday morning.
