Daytime road closures will take place this week on the Chisholm Trail Parkway as part of the ongoing widening project. The closure is needed to place concrete, according to the North Texas Tollway Authority.<\/p>\n
The southbound County Road 920 entrance ramp will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.\u00a0Wednesday through Friday.<\/p>\n
To enter the parkway, motorists will take CR 920 and turn onto southbound FM 1902\/Old\u00a0Granbury Road. They will then follow the signs to enter southbound onto\u00a0Chisholm Trail Parkway.<\/p>\n
Message boards will be placed nearby to alert oncoming motorists of the closure.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CTP opened in 2014 as a 27.6-mile toll road connecting Fort Worth, Cleburne and surrounding communities, according to the road’s website. It’s a collaboration between the NTTA, Texas Department of Transportation, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Tarrant and Johnson counties, Fort Worth and Western Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad as well as the cities of Fort Worth, Burleson and Cleburne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The ongoing CTP widening project, which started last September and is expected to finish in late 2028, will widen the parkway by adding an additional lane in each direction, resulting in four total lanes. Construction will take place from FM 1187 in Tarrant County to U.S. Highway 67 in Johnson County \u2014 approximately 13 miles of road.\u00a0<\/p>\n
