\n\tA billboard seems to have appeared above Sunset Boulevard on Monday, alluding to a reissue of Stevie Nicks<\/a> and Lindsey Buckingham<\/a>\u2018s 1973 album, Buckingham Nicks \u2014 their sole record as a duo before they joined Fleetwood Mac the year after (and the rest was history).<\/p>\n

\n\tSocial media posts shared images of the billboard with the album\u2019s cover, which features both Nicks and Buckingham topless, alongside their names, the LP title, and the date Sept. 19. The advertisement is not too far away from Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, where the 10-track album was recorded. Buckingham Nicks would eventually lead to Mick Fleetwood asking the couple to join his band, but since its release, it has not been reissued for over five decades. <\/p>\n

\n\tBoth Nicks and Buckingham hinted at the upcoming project last week, sharing coordinating lines from \u201cFrozen Love,\u201d which appears on their pre-Fleetwood Mac album, on social media. In an Instagram post, Nicks wrote, \u201cAnd if you go forward\u2026,\u201d while Buckingham added, \u201cI\u2019ll meet you there\u201d \u2014 creating the first line of the song\u2019s chorus. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe billboard arrives after Fleetwood Mac turned 50 earlier<\/a> this month, with Fleetwood\u00a0reminiscing about Nicks and Buckingham joining the group. \u201cIt\u2019s magic then, it\u2019s magic now,\u201d he said on Instagram at the time. \u201cWhat a thrill, what a thrill.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStill, the teaser on Monday comes as a surprise, as the pair have been publicly feuding since Buckingham was fired from the band in 2018. Following his exit, the guitarist underwent open-heart surgery, with subsequent\u00a0vocal cord damage<\/a>. Meanwhile, Nicks and the rest of Fleetwood Mac\u00a0went on to tour<\/a>\u00a0with Mike Campbell, the former guitarist of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Crowded House\u2019s Neil Finn as new members.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough fans are hopeful for more than a reissue, Nicks doubled down<\/a> during a Rolling Stone interview <\/a>with music writer Angie Martoccio last year, emphasizing her belief that the band\u00a0can\u2019t continue without Christine McVie\u00a0\u2014 who\u00a0died\u00a0<\/a>in Nov. 2022 \u2014 and that there won\u2019t be a proper farewell tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tNicks also shared that she last spoke to her ex-bandmate and ex-boyfriend at McVie\u2019s memorial. \u201cThe only time I\u2019ve spoken to Lindsey was there, for about three minutes,\u201d she said. \u201cI dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could.
