COBB COUNTY, Ga. \u2014 Video of a bear spotted running through an apartment complex is spreading quickly online. <\/p>\n
People living at the apartments told Channel 2\u2019s Michael Seiden<\/b> they\u2019re relieved they didn\u2019t come face to face with the bear. <\/p>\n
They are also staying alert in case it comes back. Video capturing the bear\u2019s romp is getting people talking. <\/p>\n
But for some neighbors, it was a big surprise. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was here? Oh no! I didn\u2019t see that. That\u2019s crazy!\u201d Lyrik Love said. <\/p>\n
Some residents thought the sighting was interesting, but others had a very different reaction.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think this whole situation is crazy. A bear in my neighborhood that could\u2019ve hurt some kids, some grown people,\u201d Zyon Worthen said. <\/p>\n
Wildlife experts say this time of year, black bears can travel long distances looking for food, territory or new habitats, sometimes bringing them into neighborhoods where people least expect them.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany of these young bears end up following their nose down these metro Atlanta neighborhoods and end up staying a little bit longer than we would like them to,\u201d said Ben McCullar, Georgia Department of Natural Resources <\/p>\n
They say if you see a bear, keep your distance, avoid approaching it and never feed it.<\/p>\n
