{"id":82303,"date":"2025-07-22T04:54:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T04:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/82303\/"},"modified":"2025-07-22T04:54:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T04:54:10","slug":"eu-sues-france-for-telling-people-how-to-recycle-politico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/82303\/","title":{"rendered":"EU sues France for telling people how to recycle \u2013 POLITICO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under French law, producers of goods like packaging, textiles, phones or even gardening equipment must include a sorting label \u2014 known in France as the \u201cTriman\u201d logo or \u201cInfo-tri\u201d label \u2014 on their products, so citizens can be informed about how to dispose of them properly.<\/p>\n<p>Introduced in 2022, the labels use symbols to explain which parts of the products go in which bin. Paris and Brussels have been fighting over them ever since.<\/p>\n<p>Brussels wants to harmonize labelling rules at the EU level.
