{"id":825290,"date":"2026-05-27T10:10:40","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T10:10:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/825290\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T10:10:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T10:10:40","slug":"packers-star-josh-jacobs-arrested-facing-five-charges-in-domestic-abuse-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/825290\/","title":{"rendered":"Packers star Josh Jacobs arrested, facing five charges in domestic abuse case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested in Wisconsin on domestic abuse and other charges, according to a press release from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hobart-Lawrence officers were dispatched to a \u201cdisturbance complaint\u201d involving Jacobs on Saturday morning. Jacobs turned himself in to authorities, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2059402172987502630?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">per NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport<\/a>, and was booked into Brown County Jail on five charges: battery\/domestic abuse, criminal damage to property\/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct\/domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39495104\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/GettyImages-2256051856.jpg\" alt=\"Josh Jacobs #8 of the Green Bay Packers runs with the ball during an NFL wild card playoff game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on January 10, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.\" class=\"wp-image-39495104\"  \/>Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers runs with the ball during an NFL wild card playoff game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on January 10, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis remains an active and ongoing investigation,\u201d the press release read. \u201cNo further information will be released at this time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Packers said the team is \u201caware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jacobs\u2019 attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, released a statement saying the running back is denying the claims against him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The NFL released its own statement, saying it is \u201caware of the report and has been in contact with the club.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jacobs, 28, is entering his eighth NFL season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After being drafted 24th overall by the Raiders in 2019 and spending the first five seasons of his career with the franchise, Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million contract with Green Bay before the 2024 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39495101\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/GettyImages-2256052537.jpg\" alt=\"Josh Jacobs #8 of the Green Bay Packers looks on prior to an NFL wild card playoff game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on January 10, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. \" class=\"wp-image-39495101\"  \/>Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers looks on prior to an NFL wild card playoff game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on January 10, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.
