Atomic Wings<\/a>, the New York-born wing brand, is entering a new phase of growth with more than 20 locations expected to open in 2026.<\/p>\n

The restaurant group already has 24 locations open, and its rollout would nearly double the number of sites in a single year, focusing on expansion in its core home market of New York and New Jersey while continuing to build its presence in key regional markets.<\/p>\n

In New Jersey, Atomic Wings expects to open six new locations. The planned growth includes five locations in New York \u2014 two in Brooklyn, two in Queens and one sports bar concept in Manhattan. The brand is also planning nine openings across Texas, South Dakota, Minnesota, Ohio and Illinois, signaling growing demand for the concept beyond its Northeast roots.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re at a pivotal moment as a brand,\u201d said Zak Omar, CEO of Atomic Wings. \u201cAtomic Wings is looking to skyrocket, and this year we\u2019re on pace for up to 100% growth. What makes this especially meaningful is that we\u2019re doing it by doubling down on our home market. New York and New Jersey are where our story began, and we see tremendous opportunity to continue building density there while also introducing Atomic Wings to new communities across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Founded in 1989, Atomic Wings claims it is the first halal-certified wing company.<\/p>\n

The brand\u2019s growth in New Jersey is also being driven by strong local operators with deep experience in the Atomic Wings system. Leading that expansion is area developer Moe Moustafa, who owns the brand\u2019s two Brooklyn locations and is helping bring six restaurants to New Jersey. The exact locations have not been determined.<\/p>\n

The U.S. chicken wing franchise market was valued at $4.5 billion in 2024, with forecasts indicating it will reach $7.28 billion by 2033. Wing\u2011focused restaurants and franchises have surged as wings shift from a \u201cgame\u2011day snack\u201d to an everyday, customizable, high\u2011flavor menu staple.<\/p>\n

Within the industry, wings act as \u201cflavor platforms,\u201d allowing brands to launch sauces, dry rubs and limited\u2011time flavors.
