\n\tThe first-blush social media reviews from journalists and critics who have seen preview screenings of the Universal film say the sci-fi movie is one of the director\u2019s best in years. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film stars Emily Blunt<\/a> and Josh O\u2019Connor and explores what might happen if humanity received proof we are not alone. <\/p>\n

\n\tDisclosure Day\u00a0represents Spielberg\u2019s return to the UFO genre, and fans have speculated that it could be a closet sequel to 1977\u2019s\u00a0Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Blunt told\u00a0Empire\u00a0magazine, \u201cThere are definitely questions posed by\u00a0Close Encounters\u00a0that are answered in\u00a0Disclosure Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen appearing at the South by Southwest Film & TV festival last month,\u00a0Spielberg said<\/a> about UFOs, \u201cI don\u2019t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now \u2014 and I made a movie about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDisclosure Day will likely benefit from the real-life so-called disclosure movement, which has seen the Pentagon release previously classified (and largely frustrating<\/a>) reports and videos regarding anomalous aerial activity. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film\u2019s final trailer is below, with Universal taking the unusual step of having Spielberg himself narrate the trailer, discussing his personal belief that we are not alone.
